Blount Island near May port, FL
Returning home from a fishing trip, in Jacksonville Florida, with son Martin. We were on the St. John’s River adjacent to Blount Island shipping and cargo terminal (Jacksonville’s port) where one third of all cars imported from Japan to the USA come through. This is where I caught a 16 lb. red bass in 40 feet of water in the river channel which is 12 miles downstream from the Atlantic Ocean. The St. John’s empties into the Atlantic parallel with May port Naval base.
I am Mark Chapman, Jr. and love writing about some of the things I do in real life. Books about nature and the outdoors are my favorites. Tracking developments in business is a daily pursuit. Reading the local newspaper and U. S. A. today keeps me well informed. Golfing, boating, fishing, and power walks, keep me relaxed, alert, and physically fit.
I. C. E., lead co-author of the four poem books listed under the buy books button–enjoys reading, writing, and reciting poetry. He relaxes and stays physically fit–walking nature trails in parks, along lakes, rivers, and streams. I. C. E. also works out two to three times a week.
The authors grew up on a farm in eastern North Carolina’s coastal plain. In his college years, I. C. E. excelled in English, literature, Biblical studies, and Christian Leadership. Dr. Mark Chapman, Jr. pursued a Navy career spanning twenty years, retiring a Chief Hospital Corpsman. Chapman holds a Bachelors in psychology, Masters in Counseling, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry degree. A board certified Medical technologist and Mental Health Counselor, Chapman has worked as a Mental Health Counselor, Medical technologist, School Counselor, Hospital Chaplain, and Professor of New Testament and Counseling.
