Is this Manchester United's new home kit for the 2015
Is this the first Manchester United kit since the club Nike Air Max 2016 announced a 750m shirt deal with adidas last summer?
Leaked images on social media appear to show Ashley Young posing in United's new shirt. The throwback strip is similar to designs produced by adidas for the Red Devils in the 1980s, with a thick white trim and v neck, but the club are not expected to officially unveil their new shirt until August.
United ended their 13 year association with Nike after the sports giant pulled out of negotiations last July because the club were demanding too much money. The Nike Air Max 2017 new adidas agreement, described in a statement as "a global technical sponsorship and dual branded licensing deal", will run for 10 years from the 2015 16 season.
The three stripes return to Old Trafford for the first time since the 1991 92 season, while United will enter the second season of their five year partnership with motor company and shirt sponsor Chevrolet.
